Branch Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs the operations of the infusion branch to ensure provision of quality service is consistent with applicable laws, regulations and corporate policies and standards. Maintains an awareness of changes in legislation that may impact business operations and liability
- Manages branch operations consistent with applicable accreditation standards
- Develops the branch annual budget and monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgetary constrains and takes corrective action when needed.
- Participates in community and professional organizations to increase company visibility and to assist sales in the achievement of sales and profit goals
- Analyzes gross profit factors, market conditions, business volume and mix, competition and operational cost requirements. Negotiates contracts with referral source, third party payors, government agencies and ensures effective service
- Directs / oversees client intake inquires, the assessment of client needs and credit limits. Matches staff skills to client needs and prepares and monitors work schedules to ensure effective coverage. Conducts meeting with employees, caregivers, clients and their familiar, referral sources and their party payors to provide information and resolve problems
- Consults with area, corporate, clinical and delivery staff to identify solutions to client needs and problems. Implements company sponsored programs and recommends new programs to regional manager and corporate staff as appropriate
- Directs infusion center billing, payroll, credit and data entry activities. Review pay and billing rates to ensure that the company Days Sales Outstanding standards are maintained
- Directs inventory levels for infusion and products. Ensures adequate levels of all supplies and medications and timely distribution. Oversees the asset control system to ensure accurate tracking of all equipment
- Overall responsibility for branch Quality Improvement Program
- Performs other tasks or special projects as requested by management
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Broad knowledge of home infusion, pharmacy and nursing regulations and administration required. Familiarity with Accreditation Standards
- Excellent organization and communications skills
Education/Licenses/Certificates Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Care Administration, Business, Marketing or the equivalent
- Minimum of five (5) years health care experience including one (1) year in a managerial role is generally required.
- Broad knowledge of home infusion, pharmacy and nursing regulations and administration required.
- Excellent organization and communications skills.
Physical/Mental and Environmental Requirements:
- Minimum travel may be required
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employees must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
