AMERITA, INC. ACQUIRES PPS HOME INFUSION PHARMACY
PPS acquisition is first step in Amerita’s
long-term strategy to expand high-quality specialty
infusion services to patients across the Southern
U.S.
Irvine, California, July 11, 2007 – Amerita, Inc. announced today that
it has acquired PPS Home Infusion Pharmacy located at 6227 Lee Highway, Suite
I, Chattanooga, TN 37421. According to the company, PPS will continue to be
managed locally in order to provide the responsiveness, quality and personal
service that customers have come to expect in the greater Chattanooga area.
Since 1991, PPS Home Infusion has been providing specialty infusion therapy
services primarily involving the intravenous administration of medications
that treat a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions, such as infections,
auto-immune illnesses, cancer, pain, multiple sclerosis, hemophilia and nutritional
deficiencies. Amerita plans to enhance the high-quality services PPS Home Infusion
currently provides by building a new state-of-the-art, ASP 797 compliant facility
in the same area.
“We chose to join Amerita because their sole focus is home infusion therapy
and we knew we had to expand outside of Chattanooga to be successful,” said
James Rogers, former owner of PPS Home Infusion Pharmacy. “They understand
the complexities associated with providing state-of-the-art home infusion therapy.

The PPS acquisition is Amerita’s first purchase east of the Mississippi,
says Glynn. The acquisition provides Amerita a platform from which to begin expanding
service capabilities across the Southeast. Amerita’s goal is to build a
company of scale that provides high-quality specialty infusion services to patients
across the Southern U.S.
