Amerita recruits Jeff Freedman to accelerate
company’s growth strategy
Irvine, California, November 14, 2006 – Amerita, Inc. announced that
Jeff Freedman has been named Vice President of Business Development, effective
November 1, 2006. According to the company, Freedman will have responsibility
for acquisitions, new market development, strategic alliances and other developmental
functions and will report directly to the CEO.
Most recently, Freedman served as Chief Development Officer for Rotech Healthcare.
In this capacity, he was responsible for mergers and acquisitions and the evaluation
of strategic and ancillary growth opportunities. From 2002 to 2004, Freedman
served as the Vice President of Acquisitions for Apria Healthcare Group. Prior
to Apria, Freedman was Associate Counsel and a member of the Acquisitions Group
at Lincare. During his tenure at Rotech, Apria and Lincare, a total of 140
home health care transactions were completed with aggregate annual revenues
of $500 million. Freedman holds a B.A. degree from Duke University and a J.D.
degree from Northwestern University School of Law.
